Halloween in June: Reader Beware Month RETURNS!

WELCOME, FOOLISH MORTALS!  It’s that time of year again.  The sun is hot, people are flocking toward the beaches, and ice cream and soda pop are the foods of choice.  You know what that means!  Halloween in June is back, and this time, it’s out for blood.  Or at least a paper cut…

Way before Gravity Falls thought of Summerween, I had the idea for Halloween in June!  If you want the full story, you can find that in last year’s introduction post right here.  Again, June will be a month long celebration of all things creepy, kooky, mysterious, spooky, and altogether ooky!  However, rather than having a heavy focus on my series Flicking Through Netflix (where I look at different TV shows and movies you can watch on that site), I have a different idea this time around.

For this year’s Halloween in June, Reader Beware Month RETURNS!  Reader Beware is an article series I came up with just before October of last year.  In it, I review books and comics that either are completely horror based or at least have some sort of horror element in them.  Every even numbered day in June, I will be posting a blog talking about different books with the sense of the macabre about them.

I’m really looking forward to the upcoming month!  I’ve got all sorts of ghoulish delights in store for you, including little known horror comics, a few collections of horror short stories, a look at the darker side of superhero comics, and even a trip to Oz, though probably not the Oz you’re used to.  So, stay tuned, my fellow fans of freaks and fiends.  It’s going to be a screaming good time…
