You’re traveling to another dimension. A dimension not of sight and sound but of mind. There’s the sign post up ahead. Your next stop, the Twilight Zone. His show was a landmark, an incredible mix of horror, sci-fi, fantasy, and intrigue that was never before seen. But how did it end? Did it end on as good of a note as everyone wanted? Let’s find out with it’s very last episode, The Bewitchin’ Pool.

Crypt-ober: Ghost Ship (Tales from the Cryptkeeper)

ARR, MATEYS! Baton down the hatches and prepare to be boarded! Today’s salty sea story is all about a ship of ghostly pirates. Of course, we’re all familiar with ships that have skeleton crews if you’ve ever seen the Disney Pirates movie. Ghost ship stories are nothing new to the horror genre. There have been stories regarding cursed treasures and ghoulish pirates for almost as long as there have been actual pirates. But can the Cryptkeeper spin a good yarn regarding swashbuckling buccaneers or is this ship sunk? Let’s find out. This is Ghost Ship.

I love to read. It’s one of my favorite ways to pass the time. I love reading so much that I often carry a book with me wherever I go. A good book can make a long car trip into a fun adventure, a suspenseful mystery, or a chilling horror story. The right book can really spark the imagination. Of course, not everybody likes to read. Take today’s main character, Greg. Can the Cryptkeeper give us a story to die for? Let’s find out. This is All Booked Up.

Spook Factor Special: Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Hello, fellow fright fans! Instead of the usual Crypt-ober post today, I thought I’d share a video that Laura and I put together. We visited Walt Disney World recently and decided to make a vlog-style video about Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

Music was taken from Mickey’s Boo To You Parade. We do not own it. Music in the background of one of the talking sections is Thriller by Michael Jackson. We don’t own that either.

Enjoy!

Crypt-ober: Revenge (Alfred Hitchcock Presents)

Before Rod Sterling ever donned his suit and cigar to host for the silver screen, Alfred Hitchcock, the Master of Suspense, had a really popular anthology show called Alfred Hitchcock Presents. This show is more mystery and suspense oriented than it is outright HORROR, but they still have at least a spooky atmosphere. And, of course, the show was also hosted by the master himself. We’re taking a look at the very first episode of the show. So, is this a dish best served cold or should this show have been left out in the cold? Let’s find out. This is Revenge.

Crypt-ober: The Haunted Mine (Tales from the Cryptkeeper)

Can horror really be mixed with any genre? There are arguments that, yes, it can. In fact, besides comedy, it’s basically one of the only genres that can mix with others. Take, for example, the western. The old west is full of ghost stories. Ghost towns, cursed Native American burial grounds, and, of course, Haunted Mines. Today’s tale, if it wasn’t obvious from the title, is about the third type of story. Can you truly make a horror western story? Let’s find out with The Haunted Mine.

Crypt-ober: Grounds for Horror (Tales from the Cryptkeeper)

When I was a young boy, I was a Boy Scout. And I hated it. I hated the stupid merit badges, I hated the repetitive meetings, and I HATED the camping. In short, I really don’t like the Boy Scouts. But one thing I DID like was the campfire stories. Today’s tale deals with a summer camp with a counselor who hates his job. In fact, he is more of a drillĀ  sergeant than a Summer Camp worker. So, can this counselor see the appeal of the great outdoors and fun, or is this episode lost in the woods? Let’s find out in Grounds for Horror.
